15 Passenger Vans

Fifteen-passenger vans have proven to be dangerous vehicles for passenger transport because of safety risks including their tendency to roll over. To reduce their risks NHTSA's safety advisory recommends that: drivers and passengers wear seat belts, drivers be trained and experienced, tires have weekly checkups using the manufacturer's recommended pressure levels, and no loads are placed on the roof of the vehicle.

Schifman, Remley and Associates, Inc. has provided an excellent policy document for churches that own or rent 15-passenger vans for church related activities. This document should be distributed to all individuals who are responsible for driving 15-passenger vans. Also provided is a document for payroll stuffers or handouts to remind all drivers of driving safety.   Permission has been given by Schifman, Remley and Associates to change these documents to fit your specific needs.
