Ogden, located eight miles west of Manhattan, is home to countless poverty-level families, many of whom are single women with young children. 85 percent of the community's residents live in rental housing. With high unemployment and no public transportation, many struggle to work or improve their economic status.
What They Do:
The Ogden Friendship House of Hope is dedicated to helping those in Ogden, Kansas, be clothed and fed. For more than 25 years it has been helping the at-risk community of Ogden by providing a number of services that go beyond food and clothing.
Store and food pantry hours
Tuesday-Friday: 1 - 4 p.m.
Saturday: 9 a.m. - noon
Harvester's Mobile Food Pantry
Fourth Tuesday of each month from 10 - 11 a.m.
Every Monday and Thursday, doors open at 7 p.m., meeting starts at 7:30 p.m.
During the after-school program, children participate in fun and learning activities.
