The Holy Spirit is almost certain to be present during the South Central Jurisdictional Conference in Wichita, Kansas, when Grammy and Dove awards nominee William McDowell takes the stage July 15 for the "area night" concert.
Along with a mass choir from more than 20 Wichita-area churches, McDowell will bring his energetic and soulful worship music to the Century II Performing Arts and Convention Center, 225 W. Douglas Ave., in Wichita. McDowell's talents have landed him atop the Billboard Gospel single and album lists. His performance will include his hit songs as well as music from his new album, which was released in February.
William's heart for God has captivated the hearts of worshipers all around the world. His voice has signified a clarion call for this generation to rise up in strength, might and humility for the Kingdom of God. His songs have become heart-felt anthems of worship, and his love for God echoes in the powerful messages and prophetic declarations delivered when he ministers.
"Pastor, husband, father, lead worshiper, songwriter, producer." William endeavors to approach each of these roles from the perspective found in Psalms 19:14: “Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart Be acceptable in Your sight, O Lord, my strength and my Redeemer."
William does not take all of his success, notoriety and influence for granted. He knows that ushering people into God’s presence and being a mouthpiece for God comes with a huge responsibility. He honors that by pouring into ministers and worship leaders of the next generation.
His goal is to equip others in the Kingdom to boldly declare God’s truth and release the heart of God in worship. He is grateful for and humbled by the opportunity to continue to help lead and raise up a generation of worshipers willing to arise and give themselves away for the kingdom of God and the cause of Christ.
