The 2021 Laity Summit was Saturday, March 20. This event was for Lay Servants, Speakers, Ministers, Leaders and for anyone discerning a call to leadership. As always, Laity Summit is a one-stop virtual leadership event for church and community leadership.
Mary Feit, conference director of lay servant ministries, Lisa Maupin, conference lay leader Lisa, Kathy Pierce, Gateway District lay leader, and Shane Warta, conference coordinator of lay leadership, began planning this gathering since the first Laity Summit was complete back in March 2020.
The overall theme for the 2021 gathering was “Building a New Normal.”

The Age of Overwhelm: Strategies for the Long Haul, by Laura van Dernoot Lipsky - gives us strategies to help ease our burden of stress, restore our perspective, and provide us the ability to navigate an unknown future.
Let Your Life Speak by Parker J. Palmer - The author invites us, through the telling of personal stories of darkness and depression as well as fulfillment and joy, to listen to the story of our lives to find our true calling.
