With a week under our belt, already there is a unified bond among the 2014 class of Global Mission Fellows!
I have enjoyed waking each morning to a tropical cotton candy sunrise! :)
Our days have been packed with devotions, sessions on everything from values to logistics, and bonding with groups based on our regional placements in the world. This schedule leaves me exhausted at 8pm, but as many of you know, I have no problem going to bed early!
This week, we will be joined by hundreds of fellow young adults for the Global Young Peoples Convocation of the United Methodist Church. This event is ultimately why the Global Mission Fellows training is here in Tagaytay. Young people from all over the world are being sent by his or her home conference to help prepare for General Conference. It is during this time that the Global Mission Fellows will be commissioned into the program! I invite you to stream the service online. Visit umcmisson.org/live. The service is taking place on July 19th at 7pm central time.
I also invite you to check out my Biography page. This is a great place to donate online! Just click the “Give Now” button and you will be redirected to a secure site. Any donations given through my Biography page are given in my honor but contribute to the entire Young Adult Missionary funds. It is because of donations from the community that Global Mission Fellows is funded!
Please pray for continued growth and peace, as well as sanity, as we move forward in training!
