You have heard of horse whisperers, cat/dog whisperers, all sorts of wild animal whisperers, but how about a Holy Spirit whisperer?
You can probably identify individuals in your own church or district who you believe would make great lay servants. As a whisperer, you could mention (whisper) that sentiment to the prospective lay servant. I have done this several times, and the most usual response is “I’ve been thinking about it!”
Another way of thinking about this is “allowing the Holy Spirit to work through you.”
