Romans 12:11 “Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord.” (NIV)
Read this verse backwards and break it into three parts. Serve the Lord. Keep your Spiritual fervor and you will never be lacking in zeal!
How do we serve the Lord? Lay Servant Ministry classes are a great place to explore how the Lord is calling you to serve. Once you know your call, there are classes designed to equip you in your calling. These classes, along with personal study and reflection, help keep or guard your spiritual passion in ministry!
Participating in these classes will help us mature in our calling, help us keep our focus on serving the Lord, and in the end, it will help us keep our zeal!
As you think on these things, ponder these verses as well! Romans 12:1-2 Amplified Version, “Therefore I urge you, brothers and sisters, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies [dedicating all of yourselves, set apart] as a living sacrifice, holy and well-pleasing to God, which is your rational (logical, intelligent) act of worship. And do not be conformed to this world [any longer with its superficial values and customs], but be transformed and progressively changed [as you mature spiritually] by the renewing of your mind [focusing on godly values and ethical attitudes], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His plan and purpose for you].”
Lay Servants pursue what God is calling you to do! Take advantage of the classes to grow spiritually and keep your spiritual fervor! With joy serve the LORD!!
