Nebraska United Methodist Foundation is seeking executive director


Due to a retirement, the Nebraska United Methodist Foundation is seeking applicants for the position of Executive Director of the Foundation. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of and commitment to the United Methodist Church and to the United Methodist churches in Nebraska. Previous experience and expertise in development, planned giving, supervision of staff, and non-profit leadership are highly desired. Significant travel throughout Nebraska to visit churches and pastors, meet with lay leaders and donors, and conduct educational seminars is an essential part of the position. The position may be filled by a clergy or lay person.
The Nebraska United Methodist Foundation manages assets of more than $40 million for Nebraska churches and other Nebraska United Methodist organizations. Grants are made for seminary scholarships, camping, and local church ministries. The NUMF is governed by a board of directors, made up of clergy and lay members of Nebraska churches, and the executive director reports directly to the board. 
This is a full-time position, beginning on or before July 15, 2019. Applications will be reviewed beginning March 1 and will continue until the position is filled. A competitive salary and benefits package will be determined based on the successful candidate’s qualifications and experience.
