Nebraska Wesleyan University is seeking a University Minister working 10 months of the year (August through May) responsible for providing leadership in the spiritual life of the University community and in the development and direction of a religious life program. Areas of responsibility include but are not limited to liturgy and ceremonial services and functions, pastoral counseling and support, developing and facilitating student programming in religious life, spiritual counsel regarding institutional issues, directing Church relationships, and involvement in the University community including specific outreach with other organizations.
Successful candidates will have a passion for higher education, providing counsel and guidance for students on their faith journey, in the consideration of a church‑related vocation, or in their need for pastoral support or other support through the student support system. In addition, successful candidates will be committed to achieving excellence, collaboration and inclusive leadership.
