Clergy Support

The Great Plains Conference has a number of resources to support clergy to flourish in their ministry. Being able to flourish in ministry is not just about what happens in one’s ministry, but in every aspect of life. Since the inception of the Great Plains Conference there have been a number of resources to support clergy in every way.

• Office of Clergy Excellence—Continuing Education programming
• Clergy Covenant Group, Resources and Grant
• Clergy Well-Being Mini-Grants
• The Rev. Paul Holmes Memorial Scholarship, to be used for continued education for clergy (sabbatical leave, renewal leave, or a major continuing education experience)
• Renewal Leave Grant/Resources
• Board of Ordained Ministry Scholarships for seminary or Course of Study
• Employee Assistance Plan

• The Conference also has funds to help clergy appointed to local churches defray the cost of health expenses. Reach out to your District Superintendent to learn more.
