Join Bishop Saenz and others on the confirmation journey to learn more about the Christian faith, the distinctiveness of United Methodism, and the opportunities young people have in our connection. Designed for youth who are currently part of a confirmation class (or just finished or about to start) as well as their pastors, youth leaders, and mentors.
More information is coming.
The 2017 Bishop's Confirmation Rallies were conducted Feb. 11, in Lincoln, Nebraska; Feb. 18, in Grand Island, Nebraska, and March 4, in McPherson, Kansas.
Confirmation students had a chance to meet Bishop Ruben Saenz Jr., as well as student leaders from the Conference Council on Youth Ministries (CCYM).
This was a fun, fast-moving event complete with food, music and hands-on activities. Large groups sessions focus on "What does it mean to be a Christian?" led by Erynn Dahlke, a young adult from Kearney, Nebraska, and "What does it mean to be a United Methodist?" led by Bishop Saenz. Small-group sessions included a Q&A with the bishop, learning how to use your gifts to serve the church led by the Conference Council on Youth Ministries and an opportunity to assemble UMCOR kits and learn how they help people around the world.
