Today's Lectionary Text
Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth.
Know that the Lord is God.
Enter his gates with thanksgiving,
For the Lord is good;
I learned Psalms 100 at a Bible school when I was 14 but until much later I learned what those words meant.
Psalms 100 is the Psalm of thankfulness. I am so joyful that God loves me more than anyone and has given me so many blessing and miracles in my life. We have miracles every day we just sometimes need to look for them.
Our Lord has saved my life so many times. A cow kicked out my two front teeth when I was little, it’s a wonder it didn’t really hurt me. I could have been killed in a rollover wreck, me and my family hurt in a tornado, my kids and I killed by a train that I don’t know how we got stopped in time. I could have drowned in my car; the water was above the hood. I quit breathing after a test and God brought me back, I lost my balance and hit my head it started swelling and later all the blood came down from my forehead and out below my eyes. It could have killed me. I had a cyst that was taken out and the doctor said if I had not had it taken out it the infection would have went to my heart and I would have died.
In moments when I needed the Lord the most he is always there. I have three amazing children and their great spouses. Also, I have six wonderful grandchildren and I have really enjoyed my family and love them so much. I live in a nice house and I drive a good car. So, like I said I am blessed beyond measure.
When we come to worship we should be joyful and happy to get to worship as there are so many countries that don’t even get to worship in public or would be arrested or killed if they did. We need to be full of joy when we come into God’s presence and it should be in our heart, mind and soul when we worship our Lord as he wants us to love him that way. God will meet us anywhere we just have to talk to him.
