Today's Lectionary TextGalatians 2:20-21and it is no longer I who live, but it is Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. I do not nullify the grace of God; for if justification comes through the law, then Christ died for nothing.![]() Today's DevotionalJesus Christ sacrificed his whole life to save you. Jesus is the one who gives his everything for us. He does not just share some parts of his life. “I have a couple of hours to listen to your prayer.” This is not the way Jesus communicates with us. Jesus shares with you His everything. What do we learn from Jesus taking the cross? We are reminded that He gave us even His body and blood to clean our sins and to give us a new life. Therefore, by His grace, you can say you are the new creation. You are born again in Jesus. Your body and your life are not only yours from now on but also Jesus’. You are living on behalf of Jesus Christ. As you live today, I pray that anyone who visits with you can experience Jesus’ love. I pray that anyone who talks to you feels the love of Jesus. We are living on behalf of Jesus today, tomorrow and forever. Just one thing to make sure. Do you have a weakness? Do you feel you are not perfect enough to live on behalf of Jesus? Remember that you are the new creation not because you achieved something perfect. You are born again just because Jesus loves you. Have confidence today in Jesus that you are the new creation. You are born again in Jesus by His grace, by His love, by His power. God’s spirit and power be with you today. -Rev. Younghwan Won Prayer for ReflectionThank you Jesus for giving us new life and identity. Let us live from today as your disciples giving ourselves for you and your people. |
