![]() Are you a crafty person? Do you enjoy knitting or crocheting? Or are you more of a card maker?
Any of these skills can be put to use in a prayer practice! Yarn enthusiasts can use their new or developed skills to create prayer shawls or blankets to give to those struggling. Praying over the receiver as you stitch (even if the recipient hasn't been chosen) is a great way to enjoy your favorite hobby and provide a beautiful prayer-imbued gift to someone in need. Praying the Lord's Prayer or other personal prayers as you stitch can provide a great rhythm to stitching and a great way to practice prayer. Have you received a handmade card in the mail? The time and attention that goes into cards and the messages inside are messages of faith and prayer to the receiver. Tell us how you use your crafty skills as a prayer practice! |
