Ethnic Minority Church Grant

 Established in 1984 by the Kansas East Conference, this grant is to be used to strengthen ethnic minority ministries. This grant is for programming and support for ethnic minority churches, leadership development, ethnic minority youth and ethnic caucuses.

Grant Priorities:

  1. Youth Development – supporting ethnic minority youth development (e.g. camping, summer development programs)
  2. Clergy and Laity Development - supporting clergy and laity to attend development programs
  3. Support for Participation in Ethnic Caucuses - funds for laity and pastors to attend national caucuses: BMCR, MARCHA, Asian Pastors Caucus. Can create ethnic network or caucuses in GPUMC.
  4. Ethnic Minority Local Church - projects and programming

Grants will open on May 1 of every year. Individual grants are capped at $800.
