Legislative Event for Advocacy in Faith (LEAF) theme in 2020 is "Breaking Chains of Oppression", and will be Sunday, February 16 and Monday, February 17, 2020, at First UMC, Topeka Blvd & 6th Street, Topeka, KS. Registration is $30 ($15 for students age 15-22) through February 1st, and $35/$20 after.  Child care is available if registered in advance by February 1st.  Contact Rose Roberts at 316-772-6811 for information.  There is no fee for Sunday evening, which begins at 6:20 pm and includes a legislative update and speaker, Ernestine Krehbiel on "Childhhod Abuse to Prison Pipeline?".  Monday registration begins at 7:45 am with a continental breakfast, a talking points panel, keynote speaker, Rev. Darryl Burton on "Mercy and Justice", followed by lunch and two afternoon workshops of your choice.  Dismissing at 3:15 pm.  There are 11 timely topics to choose from.  Paper and online registration may be found at Great Plains United Methodist Women website.
