Ignatian Prayer

Prayer for Reflection

God of the rainbow covenant, just as Noah waited for the olive branch, we too await dry ground. Some of us are feeling helpless; others are throwing ourselves into relief work. We know that as waters recede, there is much to be done. We ask that you sustain us for the physical, emotional, and spiritual work ahead.

Prayer Practice: Ignatian Prayer

Engage in the Ignatian Method of prayer. As you read Genesis 8:1-9:17, use your imagination and the senses. Place yourself in the narrative. What do you see, hear, touch, taste, smell? What does this story tell you about God? What does it tell you about humans?
