The Rev. Charles "Chuck" Chipman, 92; retired Great Plains Conference clergy. Born February 2, 1931; died February 5, 2023.
After receiving his masters of divinity from United Seminary, Chipman served churches in the former Kansas West Conferences in Detroit, Syracuse and Wichita St. Paul's before his retirement in 1993.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret.
Survivors include his partner, Brian Watson; children, Michael Chipman (Michelle) and Karen Baker (Scott); two grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 1-8 p.m. Friday, February 10, at Culbertson-Smith Mortuary, 115 S. Seneca, Wichita, with the family receiving friends from 5-7 p.m.. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, February 11, at Wichita College Hill UMC, 2930 E. 1st St. A graveside service will be at 3 p.m. Saturday, February 11, at Mount Hope Cemetery, Independence.
