Rev. Paul Allen Quackenbush, 96; retired Great Plains Conference clergy. Born November 1, 1926; died August 1, 2023.
A dairy farmer, Quackenbush took religious classes by mail and later graduated from the Perkins School of Theology at Southern Methodist University.
He served former Nebraska Conference churches in Helvey, Swanton, Cortland-Hallam and Clatonia-Swanson before his retirement in 1991.
Quackenbush married Betty Simpkins in June 1947; she preceded him in death. He also was preceded in death by two sons.
Survivors include children, Larry Quackenbush, Mary Quackenbush, Kerry and husband Terry Meyer, and Sherry Quackenbush; 10 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were at 10:30 a.m. August 7 at DeWitt United Methodist Church. Memorials are in care of the family for future designation.
