The Rev. Edward “Ed” Marley

The Rev. Edward “Ed” Marley, 89, a retired clergy member of the Great Plains Conference, born October 17, 1932; died November 7, 2021. He married Mary Ann Miller on July 3, 1952. He was appointed to Gridley, Kansas, in June 1968, where he finished his undergraduate work, then moved to Kansas City, Kansas, Grinter Chapel while attending Saint Paul School of Theology. He served at Nortonville-Winchester, Pomona-Richter, Oswego, Marysville, Topeka Oakland, Pleasant Hill, Pleasant Hill-St. Peters United Methodist churches before retirement in 1995. Survivors include his wife; children, Julia Lea Tetuan, Dennis (Anne) Guthrie Marley, Jonell (Earl) Kay Agent, Carl Edward Marley, and Eugene (Myla) Marley; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and sister, Barbara Kurtz.  A private family funeral service was held at Mount Hope Cemetery & Funeral Chapel, 4700 SW 17th St., Topeka.
