Micah Corps: A Social Justice and Faith-Based Internship

If you are a young adult (18-24) interested in learning about social justice, building relationship with community and faith leaders, growing in leadership skills, and nurturing your faith in action, be sure to apply next summer! Internship Roles and Expectations
Role of Great Plains Summer Internships: To identify and explore how God is calling you in the world through hands-on experiences in ministry
We will do this by:
Exposing you to excellent ministry work and leaders
Developing your leadership and ministry gifts through interaction
Give you equal opportunities to lead and be led. Duties will be chosen to give you opportunities to manage the details of programming and practice of ministry.
Helping you grow in knowledge, faith, and maturity within the ministry setting
As a Great Plains Summer Intern, you will:
Serve in an area of interest and be given specific job responsibilities and goals
Have weekly meetings with supervisor and group for planning, feedback and spiritual formation
Participate in a group orientation session at the beginning and end of your internship
Build community with fellow interns and clarify vocational discernment
Provide a short reflection paper at the conclusion of the summer that summarizes your experiences and articulates the status on how God is calling you in the world
Candidates
Preferred candidates will have completed high school or have at least one year of post-high school work experience

Will work full-time for a total of 10 weeks over the summer. Churches applying for a part-time youth or kids ministry intern through the Matching Grant Internship will be considered.

All Decisions Made by: April 15
Internship Calendar
The internship should run a minimum of 10 weeks, starting no earlier than May 15 and ending no later than August 30
In lieu of a retreat, interns will receive a welcome box, and mentors will receive onboarding resources
