As we learn of smartphone apps that may be of use, we'll provide a quick summary here. These are in no way an endorsement of the product, but rather a sharing of ideas for potential tools that may be of use to you in your ministry and the administration of your ministry.
These all can be found in the Apple Apps Store and on Google Play!
To-Do Lists
Wunderlist: This is billed as an easy way to get stuff done. From planning a holiday, sharing a shopping list with a partner or managing multiple work projects, Wunderlist can help you tick off your personal and professional to-dos.
Photo Organizing
Flickr: Upload, organize, edit and share your photos from your phone or from anywhere else in the world. You get 1 TB of space for free, and you can set your phone to autoload images as you take them. You can add filters, crop images and share entire galleries or individual photos. Tag images so you can keep track of photos from events or annual activities. This software works really well as a photo archive for your church.
Mileage Tracking
Mileage Expense Log (MEL) Pro: This is designed to help you quickly and easily keep track of expenses incurred as you use your vehicle. Use the app to keep accurate logs and generate summary reports. It can auto-track mileage in the background as long as you have your GPS enabled. You can sort by date, purpose or vehicle. You can also set it up to track other expenses such as tolls.
Obviously, this is just the beginning of a list of apps for use. Have one you've found that you like and want to share with colleagues? Send an email to our communications team, and they'll review it for possible addition to the list.
