10/22/2015

New Hope United Methodist Church in Lincoln, Nebraska, hosted Kenya Night on Oct. 9 by serving a traditional Kenyan meal.

After the meal the Kenyans in attendence shared some songs in Swahili, and those in attendence learned some phrases in Swahili such as “Jambo,” which means “Hello,” and “Asante,” which means “Thank you.”

The evening concluded with a drum circle led by the Rev. Kelly Karges. Kenya night was filled with music, dancing and fun for everyone in attendance.
