Prayer beads raise money for roof at Camp Norwesca

Recently the charge conference was held at McCook Memorial UMC where the vision statement “Making disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world” was approved. Two parishioners are leading examples in following the vision of Memorial UMC.
Through many hours of making prayer beads, praying and attending many events, Ann Trail and Patty Keene have sold $6,655 worth of prayer beads to repair the roof on the chapel at Camp Norwesca after fire damage that happened one year ago — the cost to repair the roof is $10,000. God put it on Ann’s heart to raise the funds and now the ministry is growing and growing.

We are all gifted by God and called to certain tasks daily, the trick is we have to be obedient and not just listen, but then we are to act on the task he has called us to do.
Romans 12:4-8
For as in one body we have many members, and all the members do not have the same function, so we, though many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another. Having gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, in proportion to our faith; if service, in our serving; he who teaches, in his teaching; he who exhorts, in his exhortation; he who contributes, in liberality; he who gives aid, with zeal; he who does acts of mercy, with cheerfulness.
