Three opportunities to donate will be offered at the 2017 annual conference session. Please prayerfully consider taking a special offering in your church or small group to be brought to the annual conference session if one of these ministries touches your heart.
School Partnerships - June 7 during the Opening and Memorial Service
The offering for school partnerships will support matching mini-grants for local churches that establish or strengthen a partnership with a local public school.  Originally funded by grants, this fund is now dependent on gifts from individuals and churches. This year, 2017, will be the fourth year in which churches may receive up to $1,000 for their partnership. Great Plains United Methodists are faithful in their efforts to support education for all the children of all the people.
Refugee Support - June 9 during the Ordination Service
This offering will support the physical and spiritual needs of refugees making their new home in the Great Plains. Working in partnership with the Refugees Support Center in Wichita and Lutheran Family Services of Nebraska, United Methodist churches support these efforts in providing household necessities, transportation, utility and rent deposits and similar services. Churches in Nebraska may be connected with a specific family and have the opportunity to develop long-term relationships.
Youth Service Fund - June 9 during the worship led by youth
This money supports projects led by youth. The projects are even reviewed and chosen by youth.
Checks can be made payable to the Great Plains Conference with the offering or offering breakdown listed in the memo line.
