Pray Through Music

Prayer

O God, whose Son Jesus is the good shepherd of your people: Grant that when we hear your voice we may know you who calls us each by name, and follow where you lead; who, with you and the Holy Spirit, lives and reigns, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

Prayer practice

This week you are invited to take a moment to pray through music. Choose a song and make the lyrics your own prayer this week.

O Jesus, I Have promised to serve Thee to the end; Be Thou forever near me, My Master and my Friend: I shall not fear the battle If Thou art by my side, nor wander from the pathway if thou wilt be my Guide.

O Jesus, I Have Promised #UMH 396

Spirit lead me where my trust is without borders, let me walk upon the waters wherever you would call me. Take me deeper than my feet could ever wander and my faith would be made stronger in the presence of my Savior.

Amazing Grace, how sweet the sound that saved a wretch like me. I once was lost, but now am found; was blind but now I see….When we’ve been there ten thousand years, bright shining as the sun, we’ve no less days to sing God’s praise than when we’d first begun.
