Conference staff want to help you get the right start serving and ministering to a church in the Great Plains Conference. “Right Start: Orientation to the Great Plains” is designed to help you learn more about the conference and your responsibilities. You are being invited because you are:
Among the topics covered are: how to find information on the conference website; Vital Signs reporting; upcoming events for you and your congregation; conference reports and church conference; income tax information; church property questions; pension benefits and health insurance.
Because we believe your attendance is critical, the expectation of the district superintendent and the bishop is that you will attend one of the Right Start events. The orientations will be held in four locations:
**For those serving less-than full-time and working a secular job or too far away to make the drive to Winfield, we will also make available the option to join on August 3 by Zoom link. You will need to select that option on the registration so we can send you the link. You need to plan to be connected from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m., with a break for lunch.
Each of these days will begin at 10 a.m. and conclude at 4 p.m. It is important that you register for the Right Start orientation which you plan to attend so we can make appropriate arrangements for lunch. Please register online by clicking here.
