Training

The shelter-in-place orders and limitations on crowd sizes during the coronavirus pandemic has prompted a variety of needs for training particular to our circumstances. The Great Plains Conference is pleased to provide these opportunities.

Conference Training Opportunities

To best answer your questions on a variety of topics, our ministry area directors and coordinators are providing regular Zoom calls. Check this area regularly for updates.

Capacity is limited to the first 300 people to log on, but video recordings of these sessions will be posted to the conference website. (All times CDT)

Learn How to Use Zoom 

Each of our districts can provide Zoom tutorials for you by your Congregational Excellence staff person. Please contact your district superintendent for the next scheduled zoom training and connection with Congregational Excellence resource zoom training. 

You also can obtain Zoom training from the company itself.

Using Technology for Faith Formation

This recording of a workshop by Discipleship Ministries explains how now is the time for churches to be experimenting with digital tools and social media to help small groups and Sunday School classes to connect in new ways and continue the church’s efforts at faith formation.
