Henri Nouwen is often quoted as saying, “Joy does not simply happen to you. You have to choose it and keep choosing it every day.” It’s not always that easy, though, to just choose joy out of all the other possibilities. Today’s conversation is one in which we hold up delight as an entry point to joy and hear the stories of three clergy who hold up joyful experiences in the last year: Eduardo Bousson, University Minister at Nebraska Wesleyan University in Lincoln, NE; Kirstie Engel of First United Methodist Church in Lincoln, NE; and Velma Tim, of LaCygne and New Lancaster UMCs in Kansas.
