Bishop Ruben Saenz Jr. loves football. As a former player and coach, he appreciates the preparation that goes into getting ready for a new season.
It's the same in the church. After the summer "off-season," it's time to ramp up for our fall programming. But that doesn't happen by itself. It's time now to prepare for small groups, Sunday school classes — even early work for Advent — so that we're ready to help foster discipleship in people already part of our congregations and so we can reach out to make new disciples of Jesus Christ in the year ahead.
Time to break camp and start the new season!
