ConnectioN Point is part church plant, part community center in a United Methodist Church building that closed about three years prior to the start of this new ministry. What makes ConnectioN Point most interesting is that it is the vision of a student at the University of Nebraska that was then adapted by a local church and the Blue River District of the Great Plains Conference.
The goal behind this video is to educate the people of the Lincoln area, in particular, about the ministries taking place there, expose college students from the nearby east campus to opportunities for service and to inspire congregations across the two states that comprise the Great Plains Conference to seek out similar opportunities.
That college student who envisioned ConnectioN Point is now the director there and a pastoral candidate in seminary.
