It's definitely not the 1950s any longer. Gone are the days of opening the church doors, and a large number of people immediately enter for worship. In the workshop title "Telling Your Story: Fulfilling the Great Commission in the 21st Century," Todd Seifert, communications director for the Great Plains Conference, shares some thoughts on the importance of telling the local church's story, strategies for reaching out to seekers and some basics of use of Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. David Burke, communications coordinator for the conference, shares tips for working with local media.
This presentation was recorded Saturday, Sept. 23, at East Heights United Methodist Church in Wichita as part of a quarterly Wichita East and West districts training day.
