Zimbabwe Opportunities to Give

The Chabadza Covenant Team has prepared a list of possible projects for churches not ready to enter a church-to-church covenant but who want to do something for our brothers and sisters in the Zimbabwe East Annual Conference. Projects with an asterisk are listed on the General Board of Global Ministries Advance for Christ and His Church. Send contributions for any of the projects listed below made out to Kansas West Conference to Treasurer's Office, 9440 E Boston, Suite 110, Wichita KS 67207. Write the name of the project on the memo line of the check.

A Generation of Hope: A program of the General Board of Global Ministries focusing on the eradication of HIV/AIDS and assisting AIDS orphans in Africa.

UMCOR Birthing Kits. You are responsible for shipping to the UMCOR depot.

AIDS Orphan Trust - To provide school fees, uniforms, books and other educational materials as well as some nutritional and health care support to the orphans and vulnerable children.

Funds also may be designated for different types of needs to be used where ever they are most needed:

  • Scholarships for students at United Theological College in Harare, where most pastors in Zimbabwe East Annual Conference are trained
